Cape Town: Pakistan’s all-rounder, Salman Ali Agha, has confirmed that the team is free of any injury issues, and all players are fit and available for the upcoming matches.
In a media interaction in Cape Town, Agha stated that the pitch at Cape Town is significantly different from Johannesburg, where Pakistan performed well. He mentioned that Cape Town’s surface tends to favor spinners and added that the playing XI for the upcoming match has not yet been finalized. Despite this, he remains optimistic about Pakistan’s chances and hopes to defeat the host team in the final Test.
Agha further assured that there were no injury concerns within the squad, with all players available for selection. He highlighted that Pakistan had recently defeated South Africa in the ODI series, and he is confident the team can also triumph in the Test series. He also noted that although he hadn’t bowled in the last three Test matches, he would take on a bowling role in the upcoming match.
In his comments, Agha praised South Africa’s team, describing them as formidable opponents and noted that their strength had earned them a place in the World Test Championship final. He also lauded fast bowler Mohammad Abbas, crediting him with playing a key role in putting Pakistan in a winning position in the first Test match.
