Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Ahmad has been expelled from the party following his critical remarks about the family of PTI’s founder on social media.

According to a notification issued by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Salman Ahmad no longer holds any association with the party. The notification also directed him to refrain from presenting himself as a PTI member in any capacity.

The decision to remove Salman Ahmad was made during a core committee meeting. The notification cited his involvement in creating divisions within the party, forming factions, and sharing unnecessary and provocative posts on social media as key reasons for his expulsion.

The move underscores PTI’s firm stance against activities that undermine party unity and discipline.
