Russia (The COW News Digital )In a stark warning, Russia has urged the United States to refrain from providing any military assistance to Israel amid escalating tensions with Iran, cautioning that such a move would further destabilize the Middle East.

In an official statement released by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Moscow stated that Washington should not even consider direct military support to Tel Aviv. The ministry warned that “U.S. involvement as a direct party in the Iran-Israel conflict could ignite a wider regional war and put the fragile peace of the Middle East at grave risk.”

The warning comes at a critical time when the United States has hinted at potentially supporting Israel militarily in its ongoing confrontation with Iran. Earlier today, President Donald Trump, while speaking to reporters, gave a vague yet ominous signal: “I could do it, or I could not. That decision is mine.”

This statement followed calls from several of Washington’s key Western allies—including Germany and the UK—urging the U.S. to support Israel in its stated goal of targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. These nations argue that only the U.S. military has the capability to decisively destroy Iranian nuclear facilities, raising the stakes even further.

Russia, however, has taken a diplomatic path, maintaining open lines of communication with both Tehran and Tel Aviv. “We are in continuous contact with both Iran and Israel to seek de-escalation and avoid all-out war,” the Russian statement added.

The Kremlin’s strong response underscores its growing role as a counterweight to Western influence in the Middle East. Russia has longstanding military and economic ties with Iran, and any direct U.S. intervention could bring the two superpowers into a dangerous proxy conflict.

Analysts warn that if the U.S. goes ahead with military assistance to Israel, the regional balance could tip irreversibly, drawing in other major players like Turkey, China, and Gulf states, and possibly igniting a global crisis.

For now, the world watches anxiously as diplomatic pressure mounts and strategic red lines are tested.
