The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet tomorrow, February 28, 2025 (29th Sha’ban 1446 Hijri), in Peshawar to sight the Ramadan moon.
The meeting will be chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, while zonal committees will convene at their respective locations. The Islamabad zonal committee will hold its meeting at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The final announcement regarding the moon sighting will be made by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
Meanwhile, as per the Zakat & Ushr Ordinance 1980, bank accounts with a balance below Rs 179,689 on the first of Ramadan will be exempt from Zakat deduction.
