Peshawar( Naimat Ullah) In a landmark moment for youth politics, Rida Ali has been elected as the first-ever female Youth Chief Minister in the recently held elections for the Prime Youth Parliament 2025-26. The historic polling took place at the China Window on Shami Road, Peshawar, where a total of 77 members exercised their right to vote in a disciplined and enthusiastic manner.
The elections were supervised by a special committee comprising Khan Bahadur Wazir, Essa Khan Orakzai, Jameel Khan, and Akher Zaman Wazir to ensure transparency and impartiality throughout the process.
According to the official results released by the election committee, Rida Ali, representing the National Youth Party, secured a decisive victory with 38 votes. Her closest rival, Subhan Mohmand of the Awami Youth Party, garnered 25 votes, while independent candidate Saeed Orakzai managed to secure 14 votes.
Following the announcement, both Subhan Mohmand and Saeed Orakzai gracefully conceded defeat, congratulated Rida Ali, and pledged to support the youth agenda under her leadership. They emphasized their commitment to continue working for the betterment of the province’s young population.

In her victory address, Rida Ali expressed heartfelt gratitude to her supporters and termed her election a historic step toward inclusive political representation. “For the first time in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a woman has been elected to lead the Youth Parliament. This is not just my victory but a victory for every girl who dreams of leadership,” she said.
Rida Ali vowed to prioritize issues directly affecting the youth, including access to quality education, job creation, and mental health initiatives. “Our goal is to ensure that the voice of the young generation reaches policymakers and that their concerns are addressed effectively,” she added.
She called upon the youth to remain united, focused, and active in constructive political engagement. “The challenges are many, but with unity and determination, we can transform the future of this province,” she stressed.
The successful conclusion of these elections is being hailed as a significant milestone in promoting democratic values and youth participation in politics, setting a precedent for future youth-led governance initiatives across Pakistan.
