Indian actress Rakhi Sawant announced in a social media video that she is performing a small charitable act ahead of Ramadan by sponsoring Umrah trips for 10 Pakistanis and 10 Indians.
Speaking from Dubai, Rakhi stated that she will also provide Ihram garments to those she is sending for the pilgrimage. She expressed nervousness as it is her first time undertaking such an initiative and prayed for her good deed to be accepted.
Having performed Umrah three times herself, Rakhi shared that she had asked Allah for a responsibility, which she now believes has been given to her. She emphasized that she is dedicating her earnings to this cause.
She further stated that she feels she is now living her life in a meaningful way and had prayed for the opportunity to contribute to her faith, afterlife, and overall existence. Rakhi also expressed her hope for unity between India and Pakistan.
