As part of the preparations for the 2025 Hajj season, the annual tradition of raising the cover of the Kaba has officially begun at the Masjid al-Haram.
The Kaba’s cover will be lifted by up to three meters, with the lower part being covered with white fabric. This process is initiated every year close to the Hajj season to protect the cover from potential damage.
The operation is being carried out under the supervision of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, with skilled experts and technical staff participating in the task with traditional methods and utmost care.
This act is not only a part of the administrative preparations but also preserves the historical tradition of maintaining the sanctity and care of the Holy Kaba.
