The flood forecasting division in Lahore has reported moderate flood levels at Head Suleimanki on the River Sutlej following water releases by India. Low-level flooding continues in the Chenab River at Marala and Khanki, affecting nearby areas.
In the Sindh province, the Indus River at Guddu and Sukkur Barrages shows moderate flood levels, while Tarbela, Kalabagh, and Chashma reservoirs report low-level flooding. Authorities have urged residents near riverbanks to remain alert and take precautionary measures.
The Meteorological Department has also warned of potential urban flooding in low-lying areas, particularly where drainage systems may be overwhelmed by heavy downpours.
