Light rain in various cities of Punjab, including Lahore, has increased the intensity of cold.
Rain was observed in areas like Abbott Road, Shimla Hill, Lakshmi Chowk, and Empress Road, while Cooper Road, Railway Station, and Mughalpura also experienced rainfall.
In addition, areas such as Defence, Punjab Society, Shanghai Road, Kacha Jail Road, Kot Lakhpat, Ghazi Road, Shaukat Town, Walton, and Maulana Shaukat Ali Road also saw rainfall.
As a result of the rain, the intensity of smog decreased, while the cold increased. The rain has provided relief to citizens from the dry cold, and it will help alleviate illnesses such as colds and coughs caused by dry weather.
Due to the rain, over 280 feeders of LESCO tripped, and due to feeder issues and other technical faults, power outages have caused significant inconvenience for residents in various areas.
Meanwhile, other cities in Punjab, including Kasur, Sialkot, and Gujranwala, also experienced an increase in cold weather due to the rain.
