New Delhi(The COW News Digital)Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a fierce attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha, challenging him to publicly deny the recent claims made by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding India’s role in the regional conflict and peace negotiations.

Gandhi said that if Modi had the courage, he should come forward and declare that “Trump is lying.” His remarks came in response to India’s growing diplomatic isolation following the failure of “Operation Bunyān Marsūs,” and a global shift that now places India on the same level as Pakistan in the geopolitical narrative.

During his address, Gandhi criticized External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar for his vague and self-congratulatory language during a recent speech in which he used the term “new normal” and claimed that all countries had condemned terrorism. Gandhi countered that no nation named Pakistan directly after the Phalagam incident, suggesting a diplomatic defeat for New Delhi.

“Jaishankar didn’t mention that not a single country blamed Pakistan after Phalagam. The world now equates India with Pakistan,” Gandhi declared.

Rahul Gandhi also referenced multiple past instances where Donald Trump spoke about playing a mediatory role in regional tensions, effectively undermining India’s narrative of international support. He said that the global community had embraced Pakistan’s pragmatic and consistent stance on counterterrorism, while dismissing Modi’s narrative as weak, ambiguous, and politically motivated.

He went on to say that India’s diplomatic credibility has taken a hit, and its foreign policy lacks direction and conviction. “Modi’s lies are now exposed on the world stage,” Gandhi asserted.

The opposition leader’s remarks sparked uproar in parliament, with BJP members attempting to shout him down. However, his statements resonated across media and political circles, exposing deep cracks in India’s diplomatic positioning.

Gandhi concluded by urging the Modi government to adopt a more honest and strategic foreign policy based on ground realities rather than political rhetoric.
