Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has announced that forensic evidence confirms Syeda Sania Zehra’s death was a result of homicide, not suicide. Zehra, a 20-year-old pregnant mother of two, was found dead at her Multan residence last month. The minister stated that the victim’s mother-in-law and husband are suspects, and forensic tests have found evidence against them.

The case had sparked controversy due to discrepancies in the FIR and post-mortem report, leading to the formation of a six-member committee to oversee the probe. The committee found no evidence of suicide, and forensic tests revealed wounds on Zehra’s shoulder and neck that were not caused by the noose.

The minister emphasized that the suspects tried to present the murder as a suicide, but forensic evidence and investigations prove otherwise. The case has garnered significant attention on social media, with people calling for justice and punishment for the perpetrators.
