Islamabad: In a statement, Ajmal Baloch, President of the All Pakistan Traders Association, has demanded that the Punjab government withdraw the FIRs registered against traders in Murree. He stated that the terrorism charges in the FIRs are an insult to the members of the Murree Grand Jirga.
Baloch urged the Punjab government to honor the decision of the Murree Grand Jirga members, emphasizing that raising voices for the rights of traders is not an act of terrorism. He stressed that registering terrorism-related FIRs against the trading community is an act of terrorism itself.
Baloch further vowed to prevent the economic victimization of Murree’s traders at any cost and expressed admiration for the courage of trader representatives and Jirga members. He recognized Raja Tufail and Raja Akmal as strong voices for Murree’s trading community. He also conveyed that traders from across Pakistan stand in solidarity with Murree’s traders.
