Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has stated that the government has requested written demands from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the ongoing negotiations. He emphasized that there is no foreign pressure influencing the talks, nor is there any connection between the negotiations and the postponement of judicial decisions.

In a related comment, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar said, “I did not receive a call from Trump to sit and negotiate; solving problems requires dialogue.”

Sahibzada Hamid Raza remarked that their objective is not to seek relief, but rather a factual assessment, stressing that their demands do not go beyond constitutional boundaries.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui added that there is no objection to PTI’s negotiation committee passing information and instructions to the party’s leader, but the negotiations must remain confined to the agreed parameters. He also clarified that the case involving PTI’s founder and the 190 million-pound legal dispute has no bearing on the negotiations. “No one can conduct negotiations under the threat of a sword hanging over them,” he concluded.
