Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram has stated that the formation of a judicial commission is a critical component for the third round of negotiations with the government, and without it, the talks cannot progress. He also warned that the current government is far from being on the same page, and rather than unity, it is more likely to see the entire “register tear apart.”

Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Civil Secretariat’s information cell, Sheikh Waqas Akram emphasized that the establishment of the judicial commission would be a key element in the upcoming round of talks, adding that it would help push the negotiations forward.

He further stressed the importance of the PTI’s leadership meeting before the third round of talks. “It is better that the meeting takes place before the third session. If they cannot ensure this meeting while their Chief Minister is present, it casts a huge question mark over the negotiations.”

Sheikh Waqas Akram clarified that PTI is not seeking a deal for personal gain, nor are they involved in any backdoor dealings. “We will provide a copy of our demands to them, and we will also share it with the media,” he said. “This government is not on the same page; in fact, the entire register is bound to fall apart.”
