In an exclusive interview with ARY News, PTI Senator Hamid Khan shared his concerns about the party’s internal dynamics. He stated that some individuals within the party are not sincere and are causing harm. Hamid Khan specifically mentioned Sher Afzal Marwat, who he claimed had his own agenda and was exposed.
He also criticized Fawad Chaudhry, saying he was a “planted person” in the party and was working to harm PTI from within. Hamid Khan further revealed that Fawad, along with Imran Ismail and Amir Kiani, formed the Istehkam Party and was involved in activities against PTI’s interests.
The senator expressed his disagreement with the party’s decision to resign from the assemblies during the no-trust motion, stating it was a mistake. He also mentioned that Shah Mahmood and Pervaiz Elahi had informed him that Fawad and Shaikh Rashid had pressured PTI’s founder into tendering resignations.
Hamid Khan also discussed the government’s potential ban on PTI, saying it was a result of fear due to the Supreme Court’s decision on special seats. He claimed that most cases don’t require a prolonged inquiry, and the government is worried about the tribunals.
Lastly, Hamid Khan shared his thoughts on the party’s opponents, mentioning that many prominent figures, including Khawaja Asif, Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and Maryam Nawaz, had been defeated in elections. He chose not to comment on Fazl ur Rehman, stating that he is currently in talks with PTI.
