Islamabad( The COW News Digital)Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to stage a symbolic “public assembly” outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday, in what the party describes as a continuation of its struggle for rights and democracy.

According to Express News, the decision was made during a meeting of the PTI parliamentary party held at Parliament House under the chairmanship of Barrister Ali Zafar. The session culminated in a formal statement declaring that PTI lawmakers from both the National Assembly and the Senate would gather outside the prison to highlight what they called “a fake and illegitimate government formed through Form 47.”

The statement stressed that the gathering would focus on pressing public concerns, including inflation, floods, law and order, and governance issues. It added that the move was part of PTI’s wider resistance strategy, both inside and outside Parliament.

Party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan, currently incarcerated at Adiala Jail, reportedly conveyed a message through Barrister Zafar urging party leaders to “be the voice of the nation.” He expressed full confidence in the parliamentary party and instructed them to continue pressing for justice.

During the session, prayers were offered for women and children recently killed in Waziristan’s Tirah Valley, with condolences extended to the families of the victims. Members also voiced strong concern over ongoing hardships faced by tribal communities, pledging to raise their voices collectively on their behalf.

The party expressed grief over the loss of lives and property caused by recent floods, directing lawmakers to actively participate in relief efforts. Criticism was also leveled at the Punjab government’s handling of the crisis, with PTI declaring the response “insufficient and unsatisfactory.”

Participants condemned what they called “fabricated cases” against Imran Khan and other party leaders, demanding that such cases be immediately withdrawn. The meeting also welcomed newly elected senators, congratulating them and acknowledging the success of the recent PTI rally in Peshawar.

The party decided to contest upcoming Supreme Court Bar elections with full force, pledging support for PTI-backed candidates across Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Additionally, PTI expressed concern over the latest developments in Indian-administered Kashmir, vowing continued solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, PTI leader Malik Amir Dogar confirmed that lawmakers would stage the assembly outside Adiala Jail. “This is a peaceful protest to register our dissent and demonstrate that our resistance will continue both within and beyond Parliament,” he stated.
