Islamabad( The COW News Digital)Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has finalized its strategy for the protest scheduled on August 5, deciding against marching towards Islamabad. Instead, the party will stage district-level demonstrations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, signaling a more decentralized approach in its campaign for constitutional rights.

According to PTI sources, the protest is part of the broader “Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aaeen” (Movement for the Protection of the Constitution), launched under the directives of the party’s founding chairman, who remains incarcerated. The party has emphasized peaceful and regionally coordinated demonstrations to avoid confrontations in the federal capital.

In Peshawar, a significant rally will be held from Hayatabad Toll Plaza to Qila Bala Hissar, led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. The rally is expected to commence at 3:30 PM and continue into the night. All regional PTI leaders, including former members of the national and provincial assemblies, have been instructed to actively participate.

In Swabi, workers will gather at the Ambar Interchange, staging a day-long protest to mark two years since the “unlawful” imprisonment of the party’s founder. The protest will begin at 3:30 PM and conclude after the Isha prayers.

A similar demonstration will be held in Nowshera at the Khairabad area, with local PTI members expected to stage sit-ins and peaceful demonstrations along the main roads.

Party leadership has instructed elected representatives, ticket holders, and district organizers to document their local events by recording video footage. These recordings are to be submitted to district leadership, which will then forward them to the regional command for compilation and review.

This decentralized protest strategy reflects PTI’s renewed focus on engaging local communities while maintaining a peaceful profile amid ongoing political tensions. Avoiding Islamabad also helps sidestep possible government crackdowns or legal restrictions on large-scale gatherings in the capital.

Political analysts view the move as both tactical and symbolic — keeping the party’s grassroots mobilized while avoiding direct confrontation with federal authorities. With key party leaders either jailed or facing legal battles, PTI appears to be recalibrating its political activism to sustain momentum in the run-up to future elections.
