Islamabad, (News Desk) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Ali Zafar has clarified that the party’s negotiation committee does not have the authority to make decisions regarding the ongoing talks with the government.
The formal negotiations between the government and PTI’s committees began recently, with the first meeting taking place in the Speaker’s Chamber. Both sides agreed to continue the dialogue. PTI leader Asad Qaiser stated that the government had expressed its willingness for PTI leaders to meet with Imran Khan, while Senator Irfan Siddiqui confirmed that the government had no objections to such a meeting.
However, in a revealing statement, Senator Ali Zafar emphasized that the negotiation committee is only tasked with holding discussions and does not have the mandate to make decisions. “The committee will engage in dialogue, but it is not authorized to make decisions. The final decision will rest with the founder of PTI,” Zafar stated in an interview.
