PTI leader Omar Ayub has stated that Imran Khan believes the PML-N and PPP are intentionally creating a rift between the public and the military. Ayub emphasized the need for politics to remain separate from the military’s domain, and for the military to operate within its constitutional boundaries. He also called for an independent Election Commission and criticized the current government, citing the recent electricity price hike as an example of its ineffectiveness. Additionally, Ayub mentioned that Imran Khan plans to take legal action to obtain the CCTV footage from the May 9 incident.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub has revealed that party supremo Imran Khan believes the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are deliberately creating a rift between the public and the military. Speaking at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), Ayub emphasized the need for politics to remain separate from the military’s domain.
Ayub stressed that the military, equipped with advanced weaponry, should focus solely on their designated roles, while politicians handle politics. He insisted that the military, Frontier Corps (FC), and intelligence agencies are tools of the state and must operate within their constitutional boundaries.
The PTI leader also highlighted the need for an independent Election Commission, asserting that only a strong Prime Minister can steer the country through the ongoing crisis. He criticized the current government, established under Form 47, as ineffective, citing the recent increase in electricity prices as an example.
Ayub called for the immediate release of the CCTV footage from the May 9 incident, noting that Imran Khan plans to take legal action to obtain it. He concluded by clarifying that PTI has no ongoing deal with any party.
