Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has claimed that PTI and Indian media echoed similar narratives during the Balochistan operation. In a statement, he praised the country’s security forces for preventing a major tragedy, eliminating 33 terrorists, and safely rescuing all hostages from the Jaffer Express.
He further stated that during the operation, PTI and Indian media propagated similar rhetoric, while similar narratives were also pushed on social media from Afghanistan. He emphasized that national unity must take precedence over political interests.
It is worth noting that on Tuesday, terrorists attacked the Jaffer Express in Bolan, taking passengers—including women and children—hostage. After an intense operation, security forces successfully neutralized all 33 terrorists. However, 21 passengers and four security personnel lost their lives in the attack.
