Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Chaudhry has strongly criticized the statements made by Punjab’s Information Minister, calling them irresponsible and misleading. Speaking on Express News’ talk show Kal Tak, Faisal Chaudhry dismissed the narrative that PTI has vanished from the political scene, calling it mere propaganda by the ruling government.
“I don’t want to delve too deep into this in the current environment,” said Chaudhry, emphasizing the need for unity. “PTI has not disappeared — this is just a product of the government’s rhetoric.” He also took a jab at PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, stating, “It’s unfortunate for Nawaz Sharif. Even when he had the chance, he couldn’t deliver. We’ve discussed this on your shows before.”
Responding on behalf of the PML-N, Senator Afnan Ullah Khan defended Nawaz Sharif’s leadership. “It is no coincidence that whenever major developments took place in this country, Nawaz Sharif was either leading or serving as Prime Minister,” he remarked. “We’re not taking credit away from anyone, but political leadership must be acknowledged. Mian Sahab is heading the current system and has played a role diplomatically and strategically where required.”
In a separate segment, former Air Marshal Arshad Malik harshly criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP’s ideological stance. “There should be no confusion — Modi, his party, and his allies follow a fascist ideology. It’s not just anti-Muslim or anti-Pakistan; it’s a consistent display of extremist mindset wherever they find opportunity,” he said. “The Hindutva ideology is designed solely to spread anarchy.”
The remarks from all sides reflect growing political tensions domestically and a continued focus on regional ideological challenges.
