In a recent interview with Independent Urdu, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar clarified that his party has no intention of forming a coalition government with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). However, he did not rule out the option of a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Barrister Gohar stated that PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, is not interested in sharing power with the PPP, and instead, the party will play the role of a strong opposition. He mentioned that the option of forming a government with the PPP was available even on February 9, but it was not pursued.
The PTI chairman also revealed that Mehmood Khan Achakzai had contacts with other parties, which was allowed by Imran Khan. Barrister Gohar emphasized that the party will decide whether to bring a no-confidence motion against the prime minister, and negotiations are still ongoing.
This statement comes after the Supreme Court’s decision, which Barrister Gohar believes has put an end to speculation about PTI’s legitimacy. He claimed that the party was targeted with malice, but the people have been declared free.
