Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has dismissed speculation about a potential ban on the party, asserting that PTI remains a peaceful political entity. He also condemned any form of violence, regardless of its origin.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail after meeting PTI founder Imran Khan, Barrister Gohar revealed that Khan was unaware of the November 26 incident and emphasized that no violence should have occurred. “Our supporters are enduring challenging times, but we remain committed to peaceful politics,” he added.

Barrister Gohar also refuted rumors about Imran Khan’s deteriorating health, stating, “Alhamdulillah, he is perfectly healthy.” He confirmed that this was their first meeting since the final call on November 24 and that Khan was briefed on the protests and other developments.

Meanwhile, PTI leader and former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Qasim Khan Suri, had recently claimed that Imran Khan’s life is at risk in jail. Suri alleged that Khan had been subjected to psychological harm, claiming that a “toxic spray” was used in his confined cell, affecting his mental well-being.

These allegations have raised concerns within PTI ranks about the safety and treatment of their leader while in custody.
