Speaking at a meeting regarding law and order in Islamabad, Shehbaz Sharif remarked that this was the third or fourth assault on the federation. He added that such malicious intentions were unthinkable before 2014. He mentioned the 126-day protest at D-Chowk, which resulted in the disgrace of Pakistan and the destruction of its economy, and led to the cancellation of the Chinese president’s visit.
He praised the President of Belarus for completing his visit with a smile and resilience, while criticizing the attempts to disrupt the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference, which caused significant damage to Pakistan’s economy. He stated that the protests and disturbances led to the martyrdom of four Rangers and one police officer.
The Prime Minister emphasized that it is now time to move forward. He mentioned that just a few days ago, a group from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attempted to attack Islamabad. He pointed out that protests and sit-ins cost Pakistan’s economy 190 billion rupees daily and described the spectacle created in front of the world as indescribable.
Shehbaz Sharif claimed that such a malicious mindset was not seen in any other political party, and that whether Islamabad was attacked or blood was flowing in Parachinar, their aim was to destabilize the country. He condemned the protests during the Chinese Prime Minister’s visit in October, calling it an act of enmity with Pakistan, as they were unaware of the friendly nations wanting to invest in Pakistan. He accused them of having only one agenda: to destroy Pakistan.
The Prime Minister ordered that this political party is not a party but a “fitna,” and that cases should be filed against such groups. He further stated that there is stability in the economy, and the nation must decide whether to hand the country over to this destructive party. He added that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is not paying attention to Parachinar, and they will not allow anyone to destroy Pakistan, pledging to break such destructive hands.
