Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has left Islamabad for a three-day official visit to Egypt, where he will participate in the 11th D-8 Summit themed “Investing in Youth and SMEs for Tomorrow’s Economy.”
During the summit, the Prime Minister will reaffirm Pakistan’s strong commitment to the foundational principles of the Developing-8 (D-8) Organization for Economic Cooperation and advocate enhanced collaboration among member states.
Additionally, PM Sharif will attend a special session of the D-8 focused on the Middle East crisis. He will address issues arising from Israeli aggression, the humanitarian crisis in the region, and the challenges of reconstruction and rehabilitation in Gaza and Lebanon.
The visit underscores Pakistan’s dedication to fostering regional and international cooperation while advocating for peace and development in conflict-affected areas.
