Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed a committee consisting of members of the government alliance to hold negotiations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The committee, formed on the suggestion of Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, includes Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, as well as Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Syed Naveed Qamar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Abdul Aleem Khan, and Chaudhry Salik Hussain.

It is noteworthy that last night, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar had requested the Speaker of the National Assembly to play a role in facilitating talks. Barrister Gohar emphasized the need for negotiations with PTI.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, following the Speaker’s suggestion, formed the negotiating committee from the government alliance and expressed hope that national security and the country’s interests would be prioritized. “Pakistan is everything to us,” the Prime Minister said, appreciating the Speaker’s efforts.

It is important to note that discussions between PTI and the government alliance have been ongoing for several days, but formal negotiations had not started until now. A few days ago, Imran Khan had announced PTI’s negotiation committee.
