Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has no plans to join the federal cabinet, reiterated Senate Chairman and former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani during a press briefing in Islamabad. He emphasized that while the PPP has extended support to the government, it has not been a part of the cabinet and will not be in the future.
Gillani highlighted the PPP’s reservations with the government and confirmed that negotiations are currently underway to address these issues. “As soon as there is a resolution, we will inform everyone. Dialogue is the key to solving problems,” he stated.
Gillani also called on the government to honor its written agreement with the PPP, stressing the importance of fulfilling commitments made between the two parties.
“The PPP believes in constructive politics and resolution through dialogue, but agreements must be upheld for cooperation to continue,” he added.
