Vatican City (Web Desk) – Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of the Christian world, has condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, describing them not as acts of war, but as atrocities.
In a statement, the Pope expressed his outrage over the Israeli airstrikes that killed seven children from the same family in Gaza. Speaking to members of the Vatican City, Pope Francis referred to the bombings as acts of cruelty and savagery, emphasizing that these actions were far from being considered a war. He stated, “I believe this is not war, this is cruelty.”
The Pope also criticized the decision to prevent Patriarchs from traveling from Jerusalem to Gaza, highlighting the deep humanitarian concerns regarding the violence and suffering in the region.
