Dr. Asif Kirmani, former political secretary to ex-PM Nawaz Sharif, has officially left the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) citing disagreements with the party’s leadership.

Kirmani’s Reasons

Kirmani criticized the party’s leadership for their “ineffective governance” and cheering on rulers while people suffer from high electricity bills and inflation. He had distanced himself from the party’s political affairs for a long time.

No New Party Affiliation

Kirmani, a key figure in PML-N’s 2013 electoral campaign, didn’t indicate joining another party. He will issue a detailed statement soon.

PML-N’s Recent Setbacks

Kirmani’s departure follows recent high-profile exits, including Abbas Khan Afridi’s resignation and the formation of Awaam Pakistan party by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail, attracting several ex-PML-N members.
