PML-N leader Javed Latif has alleged that Pakistan is under significant pressure from global powers, which influenced the recent negotiations between the government and PTI. He claimed the pressure aims to derail major projects like CPEC, distance Pakistan from Iran and China, and push for closer ties with India.
Latif stated, “The pressure comes from international forces seeking instability in Pakistan. These talks were held under the influence of the same forces that launched the PTI leader.”
He further criticized the nature of the talks, stating that negotiations held under deceit and greed would yield no positive results. “The greed was to secure the release of an individual who crossed Pakistan’s red lines, including inciting unrest on May 9 and November 26,” he remarked.
The PML-N leader also alleged that PTI was relying on support from a superpower, hoping that the arrival of January 20 would lead to Imran Khan’s release from Adiala Jail. “Releasing such an individual would be akin to opening the doors for armed groups in the future,” he warned.
Latif also took aim at PTI’s alleged double standards, saying, “On one hand, they claim not to be subservient, but on the other, they hire lobbying firms to beg for support on their behalf.”
