PM Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz Condemn Attack on Convoy in Lower Kurram

Lahore (News Desk) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the firing incident on a government convoy in Bagan, Lower Kurram, which left several, including Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud, injured. Both leaders prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.

In a statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif denounced the attack, calling it an attempt to undermine the peace agreement in the region. “The perpetrators aiming to disrupt law and order and harm humanity will not succeed. The government, in collaboration with security forces, is resolute in its fight against terrorism,” he asserted.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz echoed the condemnation, stating that such cowardly acts by terrorists will not weaken the nation’s spirit. “The entire nation stands united against terrorism,” she emphasized.

The incident has drawn widespread condemnation, with calls for decisive action to ensure peace and stability in the affected region.
