PM Shehbaz Sharif Departs for Malaysia on Three-Day Visit

ISLAMABAD ( The COW News Digital) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on a three-day official visit to Malaysia today at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations and explore avenues for expanded cooperation across multiple sectors.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the visit, Prime Minister Sharif will hold comprehensive bilateral talks with his Malaysian counterpart. The discussions are expected to cover regional and global issues, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in trade, information and communications, IT and telecom, halal industry, investment, education, energy, infrastructure, digital economy, and public engagement.

The ministry noted that both leaders will also explore opportunities for formalizing partnerships through agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in existing and emerging sectors. These arrangements are expected to deepen collaboration in areas of mutual interest and facilitate sustainable development initiatives between the two countries.

“The visit underscores the commitment of Pakistan and Malaysia to strengthen ties, promote peace, stability, trade, investment, and sustainable development through joint efforts,” the statement added.
