A high-level delegation of international investors, led by American businessman Gentry Beach—who is also a close business associate of the Trump family—met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during their two-day visit to Pakistan. The delegation expressed keen interest in investing billions of dollars in various sectors of the Pakistani economy.
During the meeting, Gentry Beach lauded Pakistan’s immense economic potential and praised its investor-friendly policies. Speaking to journalists in Islamabad, he highlighted plans to invest in artificial intelligence, minerals, energy, and real estate. He also shared his vision of introducing advanced construction technology in Pakistan, enabling the construction of a 30-story building framework within just one month.
Beach emphasized that former U.S. President Donald Trump, being a businessman himself, strongly believes in economic diplomacy. He noted that the leadership in both the U.S. and Pakistan currently shares a similar vision for economic collaboration.
Addressing past U.S.-Pakistan relations, Beach stated that the American public had not been shown the true picture of Pakistan. He acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism and recognized the vast investment opportunities available in the country.
He further criticized the Biden administration’s approach towards Pakistan over the past four years, stating that it was not appropriate. However, he expressed optimism that under new leadership, the U.S. is eager to initiate a fresh chapter in its economic ties with Pakistan. Beach affirmed that American businesses see Pakistan as a significant destination for investment, with the current Pakistani leadership aligning well with the new U.S. administration’s economic outlook.
