Lahore: Federal Minister for Petroleum, Musadik Malik, assured that gas prices will not increase during the upcoming winter season.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, the minister addressed the ongoing political situation, emphasizing that discussions with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would not include any agenda related to the founder’s alleged crimes.
“We were always open to dialogue. Progress requires constructive conversations. Issues won’t resolve unless all stakeholders come to the table,” Malik stated, adding that the initiation of talks with PTI is a positive step. He hinted that discussions will include topics like red, yellow, and green lines but remain focused on broader issues.
Commenting on the legal cases against PTI chairman Imran Khan, Malik noted that the charges are of a criminal nature. He highlighted allegations involving a £190 million settlement, which was allegedly signed and subsequently concealed by declaring the funds as state property. He further mentioned a 400-kanal property linked to a trust associated with the PTI chief.
The minister reiterated the government’s willingness to engage in dialogue while underscoring the need for transparency and accountability in addressing pressing political and legal matters.
