Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court on Monday granted interim transit bail to Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, in multiple cases. Justice Waqar Ahmad presided over the hearing.
Bushra Bibi’s legal counsel, Alam Khan Adeenzai Advocate, informed the court that she had filed transit bail petitions in 27 cases, ranging from different legal charges.
During the proceedings, the Additional Attorney General requested the court to ensure that Bushra Bibi appears before the relevant courts. Justice Waqar Ahmad remarked, “We are granting transit bail to enable her to appear before the respective courts.”
Bushra Bibi’s counsel requested an extended bail period, citing the need to appear in over 50 cases. However, the court refused to extend the duration, noting the upcoming winter holidays.
After hearing the arguments, the court granted Bushra Bibi transit bail until December 23, directing her to appear before the relevant courts within the given timeframe.
