Pervaiz Elahi could not be indicted in Illegal appointments in PA case

LAHORE, : Former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Pervaiz Elahi could not be indicted on Wednesday due to his non presentation in the court despite assurance from his counsel.

His indictment was deferred while the court expressed resentment over it.

Hearing of illegal appointments in Punjab Assembly (PA) case came up for hearing in Anti Corruption Court Lahore.Aamir Saeed Ran counsel for Pervaiz Elahi once again filed exemption from attendance plea in the court.The petition said Pervaiz Elahi is unwell and doctors have advised him rest.

The counsels presented medical certificate in the court.

The court while expressing annoyance over non presenting Pervaiz Elahi said that the accused did not appear in previous hearing. It will not run so. Some order will be issued in this regard.
The court remarked you had given in writing on previous hearing . Today I give decision on exemption from attendance plea . We keep case pending till tomorrow. Present the accused tomorrow.

The state counsel said they had said that Pervaiz Elahi would be presented on next hearing. This way indictment is becoming delayed.
