PEMRA and NITB Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Mobile App Development

Islamabad – The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) and the National Information Technology Board (NITB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development of PEMRA’s mobile application.

The signing ceremony took place at PEMRA Headquarters, where the MoU was signed by PEMRA’s Director General of Operations, Broadcast Media, and Public Relations, Muhammad Tahir, and NITB’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Babar Maqsood Bhatti.

PEMRA Chairman Muhammad Saleem and Executive Member Sikandar Rashid Chaudhry were also present at the event. Chairman Saleem expressed gratitude to Dr. Bhatti, noting that the launch of PEMRA’s mobile app would enhance public access to regulatory services and play a vital role in the authority’s operations, particularly in the registration and resolution of complaints.

Among those present were PEMRA’s Director General of Licensing Broadcast Media, Waqeel Khan, Director General of Information Technology, Zeeba Tabassum, Personal Staff Officer of the Chairman, Tamseel Haider, Regional Director (Islamabad) Saeed Ahmed Samro, Head of Legal, Tahir Farooq Tarrar, and Director of Information Technology, Shahbaz Akhtar. From NITB, Director General Imran Haider was also in attendance.
