Baku: A Pakistani delegation, led by Federal Minister for Investment, Privatization, and Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, visited Azerbaijan and held high-level meetings with Azerbaijani ministers to discuss investment, transport, energy, and economic cooperation.
During the visit, Minister Khan revealed that work is underway on 15 agreements between the two countries, with investment deals worth $2 billion set to be finalized.
The delegation met with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Transport Rashad Nabiyev, and Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Samad Bashirli. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in key sectors, including oil, gas, and infrastructure development.
“We are engaging in significant discussions on energy, motorways, and transport investment. Prime Minister of Pakistan will also visit Central Asian countries later this month,” said Abdul Aleem Khan.
The Pakistani delegation invited Azerbaijani authorities to participate in Pakistan’s privatization projects, an opportunity that was met with keen interest.
Azerbaijani officials warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed enthusiasm for expanding bilateral cooperation in new areas.
Additionally, Abdul Aleem Khan is scheduled to meet Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov today to further strengthen economic ties between the two nations.
