The Pakistan women’s cricket team Friday secured a thrilling six-wicket victory over Scotland in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier at the LCCA Ground in Lahore.
The hosts successfully chased down the 186-run target in the 31st over.
Batting first, Scotland posted a competitive total of 186 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 32 overs due to early.
Captain Kathryn Bryce played a sensational knock of 91 runs off 96 balls.
She was well supported by Alisa Lister with a quickfire 31 runs off 24 balls, and Sarah Bryce, who added 21 runs from 25 deliveries.
Fatima Sana delivered a match-winning performance by taking 4 wickets for 23 runs in 5 overs.
Sadia Iqbal chipped in with 2 wickets for 43 runs in 7 overs, while Nashra Sandhu and Diana Baig claimed a wicket each, maintaining consistent pressure on the Scottish batters.

In reply, Pakistan’s chase was powered by a brilliant batting display, particularly from openers Muneeba Ali and Aliya Riaz. Muneeba laid the foundation with a composed yet aggressive 71 runs off 72 balls before being dismissed.
Aliya Riaz remained unbeaten on 68 runs off 70 balls, anchoring the innings till the end with remarkable poise.
Pakistan comfortably reached 189/4 in 31 overs, clinching a well-earned victory.
Now Pakistan will face the West Indies women on 14th April.
