The Pakistan Stock Exchange is experiencing a severe downturn, with the KSE 100 Index dropping by more than 4,000 points during trading.
At the beginning of the trading session today, a significant decline of 1,909 points was observed, bringing the index down to 109,170 points. Afterward, there was some recovery, and the index rose to 111,215 points, but the market continued to fluctuate.
During the session, after an additional drop of 466 points, the index fell to 110,703 points. Further losses followed, with the index reaching 109,821 points, and then another decline of 2,560 points took the index down to 108,510 points.
According to the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s website, by 3:02 PM, the benchmark KSE 100 Index had decreased by 4,355 points, or 3.92%, to stand at 106,714 points. Yesterday, the market also witnessed a downward trend, with the index dropping by 3,790 points, or 3.41%, to close at 111,070 points.
