Islamabad( The COW News Digital)In a strong show of solidarity, Pakistan has condemned the recent Israeli airstrikes in Doha and assured Qatar of its unwavering support. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif telephoned Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, expressing Pakistan’s deepest sympathies over the loss of lives and destruction caused by the Israeli assault.

According to government sources, the Prime Minister described the strikes as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He warned that Israel’s aggressive actions posed a grave threat to regional peace and stability. During the conversation, Shehbaz Sharif assured the Emir that Pakistan would stand with Qatar “like a rock” against Israeli aggression and emphasized the urgent need for unity within the Muslim world during this critical time.

Emir Sheikh Tamim thanked the Pakistani leader for his support and condolences, and both leaders agreed to remain in close contact while continuing efforts for regional peace and cooperation.

Meanwhile, Hamas confirmed that its senior leaders, including Khalil al-Hayya, survived the Israeli airstrike that targeted a building in Doha where high-level consultations were underway. According to Hamas spokesperson Suhail al-Hindi, the attack occurred while the leadership was discussing U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed ceasefire framework for Gaza.

Although al-Hayya and other top figures such as Khaled Meshaal, Zaher Jabarin, Mohammed Darwish, and Mousa Abu Marzouk remained unharmed, the strike resulted in the deaths of six people, including al-Hayya’s son, Humam al-Hayya, his office manager Jihad Labad, several bodyguards, and a Qatari official.

Al-Hindi told Al Jazeera that three of al-Hayya’s security personnel remain missing after the attack. He emphasized that despite the casualties, Hamas’s leadership structure remains intact and committed to pursuing its political and military objectives.

International media outlets reported that Israel’s primary target was Hamas’s top leadership, particularly Khalil al-Hayya, who was chairing the crucial meeting. However, no senior figures have been reported dead or injured.

The incident has heightened tensions across the region, raising fears of further escalation. Analysts warn that Israel’s move could complicate diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza and provoke wider instability involving Qatar and other states.

With Pakistan’s firm stance and renewed calls for Muslim unity, the crisis is likely to intensify debates over regional alliances and Israel’s future engagement with its adversaries.
