Pakistan Set to Cut Petrol and Diesel Prices Significantly

According to a report by a leading national newspaper, a decline in global crude oil prices may lead to a reduction of up to PKR 14 per liter in petroleum product prices in Pakistan.

Petrol prices are expected to decrease by PKR 14.16 per liter, bringing the new rate down to PKR 241.47 per liter. Diesel prices may see a cut of PKR 8.70 per liter, lowering the price to PKR 249.94 per liter. The drop in diesel prices is anticipated to impact commodity prices, providing further relief to the public.

Kerosene oil is also expected to become cheaper by PKR 10.33 per liter, bringing its price to PKR 157.79 per liter. Additionally, light diesel oil, commonly used in industries, may see a PKR 7.12 per liter reduction, setting the new price at PKR 146.22 per liter.

The final decision on petroleum product prices will be announced by the government.
