Pakistan, Saudi Arabia to Form Joint Media Production Committee

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to form a joint committee for collaborative production of songs, films, and documentaries. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information, Atta Tarar, and Saudi Minister for Media, Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari, in Riyadh.

During the meeting, Atta Tarar congratulated his Saudi counterpart on the successful organization of the fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum. Both sides emphasized enhancing cooperation in various fields, including journalist exchange programs and training initiatives.

The two ministers also stressed the importance of combating misinformation and propaganda through joint efforts. Atta Tarar highlighted that closer collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would contribute to regional peace and stability. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in support of Saudi Vision 2030.

Tarar further stated that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have immense opportunities for digital investment and technological cooperation, with their brotherly relations evolving into a strong economic partnership.

Saudi Minister Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari announced that the upcoming meeting of the Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council will be held in Pakistan. He acknowledged the significant role of the Pakistani workforce in Saudi Arabia’s development and reiterated Riyadh’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Pakistan across all sectors, including media and communications.
