Pakistan’s Foreign Office has strongly rejected allegations made by the Indian Foreign Secretary regarding ceasefire violations, terming them baseless and misleading.

In an official statement issued on Saturday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan clarified that Pakistan has fully honored its commitment to the ceasefire agreement and has not carried out any violations.

Responding to a media query about the Indian claims, Khan reaffirmed that Pakistan remains sincerely committed to the ceasefire understanding with India and continues to uphold it in both letter and spirit.

He noted that despite repeated violations of the ceasefire by Indian forces across multiple sectors, Pakistan’s military has exercised maximum restraint and acted with a high degree of responsibility.

“We believe any issues regarding the implementation of the ceasefire should be addressed through established coordination mechanisms at the relevant levels,” the spokesperson added. “Both sides must ensure that troops on the ground observe calm and refrain from any escalatory behavior.”

The statement comes amid heightened tensions in recent weeks, with international actors urging both nuclear-armed neighbors to avoid further confrontation and honor the fragile truce that came into effect earlier this month.
