LAHORE:( The COW News Digital)-Preparations have begun for the celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary, the spiritual leader of the Sikh community. The main ceremony will be held on November 5 at Gurdwara Janam Asthan, Nankana Sahib.
A high-level meeting was organized by the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), chaired by Additional Secretary Shrines Nasir Mushtaq, while Chairman Dr. Sajid Mehmood Chauhan attended via video link.
The meeting was informed that Indian Sikh pilgrims had been invited to participate, but India’s Ministry of External Affairs has announced it will not send its citizens to Pakistan.
Nasir Mushtaq assured that pilgrims from across the world will be welcomed and provided with full security and travel facilities. ETPB Secretary Farid Iqbal was also present at the meeting.
