According to sources, Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan may not receive a no-objection certificate (NOC) to play in the Global T20 Canada due to Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) policy of not issuing certificates to all-format players. This decision comes amid a busy international schedule and follows the denial of NOC to Naseem Shah for The Hundred cricket league.

The Global T20 Canada, scheduled from July 25 to August 11, has not yet received approval from the International Cricket Council (ICC) due to several issues. The NOC for players will be decided after the league receives approval. Other players like Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Nawaz, Asif Ali, and Iftikhar Ahmed have contracts in the Global T20 Canada.

PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi stated that the board will work out a technical process to issue NOC, prioritizing fitness, performance, and discipline.
