Shab-e-Barat, also known as Lailat-ul-Mubarakah and Lailat-ul-Rahmah, will be observed across Pakistan tonight with deep religious reverence. Devout Muslims will spend the night in prayers, seeking forgiveness from Allah and reaffirming their commitment to a righteous life.
On this blessed night, a large number of worshippers engage in repentance, self-reflection, and supplications for divine blessings in their sustenance and well-being for themselves and their families.
Special night-long congregational prayers and gatherings will be held in mosques nationwide, where scholars and religious leaders will highlight the significance of Shab-e-Barat and guide worshippers on special supplications and prayers. Recitations of Durood and remembrance of Allah will also be conducted in these spiritual gatherings.
Many people will also arrange religious gatherings in their homes. Before the night-long prayers, large crowds are expected to visit graveyards after Maghrib and Isha prayers to offer Fateha for their deceased loved ones.
Mosques, shrines, and religious centers across the country have been illuminated for the occasion. Local administrations in various cities have ensured cleanliness and lighting arrangements in graveyards, along with deploying security personnel for public safety.
