Islamabad( The COW News Digital )On the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day (Youm-e-Istehsal), Pakistan’s armed forces have expressed unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, calling India’s occupation illegal and a cause of growing human tragedy.
In an official statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on August 5, the Pakistan military leadership, including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Naval Chief, Air Chief, and other senior commanders, reaffirmed their resolute support for the Kashmiri people in their just and ongoing struggle for self-determination.
The statement condemned India’s ongoing and illegal occupation of Kashmir, describing it as a brutal siege involving continuous curfews, mass human rights violations, and unlawful demographic changes — all in direct defiance of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions and international law.
The ISPR noted that these actions not only violate the inalienable rights of the Kashmiri people but also contribute to increasing instability and humanitarian crises in the region. The military highlighted that India’s oppressive conduct, aggressive rhetoric, and provocative steps are significant hurdles in achieving lasting peace across South Asia.
Referring to the revocation of Article 370 and 35A on August 5, 2019, the statement reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces stand firmly with Kashmiris and support their UN-mandated right to self-determination, stressing that a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute, as per the will of the Kashmiri people, is essential for regional peace.
The military leadership also paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir, saluting their courage and sacrifice. It was emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Kashmiris in their struggle until justice is delivered.
As global voices continue to call for a just solution, Pakistan’s armed forces have once again reminded the international community of its responsibility to hold India accountable for its actions in the occupied territory and to ensure the implementation of relevant UN resolutions.
