Pakistan Finalizes Key Gas Supply Agreement with Azerbaijan

Islamabad:Pakistan has finalized a significant gas supply agreement with Azerbaijan, marking a major development in the energy sector.

According to Express News, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR) have entered into a government-to-government agreement. PSO has submitted the details of the deal to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

Sources reveal that the agreement was signed following approval from the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC). The Ministry of Energy granted PSO the authorization to finalize the deal on December 3.

This gas supply agreement is a major step forward in Pakistan-Azerbaijan energy cooperation. Both countries are committed to ensuring the agreement’s implementation within the stipulated timeframe.
