According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the annual rate of weekly inflation has risen to 5.08%. Over the course of one week, the prices of 17 essential items increased, the prices of 10 items decreased, and 24 items saw no change in price.
The report highlights that in one week, the price of chicken increased by 75 rupees per kilogram, tomatoes by 44 rupees, sugar by 3 rupees, and ghee by 7 rupees per kilogram.
Additionally, firewood became 13 rupees per maund more expensive, cooking oil increased by 21 rupees, beef by 6 rupees, jaggery by 1 rupee, LPG by 7 rupees, and mutton by 3 rupees.
